I was born in Oxford, grew up in Durban, South Africa and am currently living just outside London with my husband and two children. I studied graphic design and worked in advertising and design for ten years. I have also exhibited paintings, photography, mixed media pieces and installations in several group exhibitions.

I am currently completing a BA Creative Writing at Birkbeck, University of London. I am also the Managing Editor of the Birkbeck Writers’ Hub website.

I have had poetry published by the Poetry Institute of Africa and short stories published in Litro and Inkspill (forthcoming) and in the following competition anthologies: Even Birds Are Chained To The Sky & Other Tales and Wooing Mr Wickham.

I am currently working on my first novel – and by ‘working on’ I mean ‘thinking very hard about it’ and ‘really intending to get down to it soon’. The first chapter and synopsis were shortlisted in the Lightship Publishing ‘First Chapter’ Competition in 2011.
